Chief Executive Officer

Peter E. Belyea

Peter E. Belyea is the Chief Executive Officer of TERACAI and CXtec. He served as Vice president of TERACAI during its launch, development and growth as a Cisco Silver Partner in 2009. In its first year, Belyea oversaw revenues exceeding $35 million.

During his tenure, TERACAI has been listed on CRN’s Solution Provider 500 (formerly the VAR 500), the annual ranking of “North America’s Top 500 Technology Integrators” each year it has been eligible. Belyea was also named to CRN’s list of “30 Notable IT Executive Moves” in 2011.

Belyea has been with the TERACAI and CXtec companies for more than 25 years, previously serving as Vice President of data center and cabling for CXtec from 2007 to 2011. In this role, he managed CXtec’s CABLExpress division, spearheading the development, production and sale of industry-leading high performance data center cabling products. Prior to this, he worked with AT&T as a design consultant in its premise service cable division, leading design and installation of campus-wide structured cabling solutions.

Belyea is active in the Central New York Community, where he currently serves as a board member for the Redhouse Art Center. He also served on the Chittenango School Board for 13 years, six of which he was president. In 2013, Belyea was selected as the Crystal Ball Award recipient by the CNYSME, which was awarded based on his contributions to the sales and marketing professions and for efforts in the areas of community development and support.

Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Barbara Ashkin

Barbara Ashkin is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and CFO of TERACAI and CXtec, where she is responsible for overseeing the financial condition and economic strategy of both companies. She managed and led the launch of TERACAI in 2009, which has been one of Cisco’s largest partners worldwide since its inception.

Ashkin has been with the TERACAI and CXtec companies since 2000, and has served in a number of roles, including chief operations officer and general manager. She has previously been employed by a regional shopping center developer. Ashkin is a certified public accountant and has held several positions in public and industry accounting.

Ashkin holds a master’s degree in accounting from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University’s School of Arts and Sciences.

She is very involved in community efforts in Central New York and is on the board of trustees of the Everson Museum and the board of directors of Crouse Hospital. Ashkin has received a number of awards recognizing her excellence in business and community, including the American Red Cross of Central New York’s “Women Who Mean Business” Award in 2012, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central New York’s “Woman of the Year” Award in 2005 and a Women in Business Award in 2001. She was also listed by VARBusiness Magazine as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in the Channel in 2007.

President

Tim Duffy

Tim Duffy is the President of TERACAI. He is responsible for leading the strategic growth of the business through sales; professional services and engineering; and all day-to-day operations.

Duffy has been with TERACAI since 2010 and previously served as the Vice President of Professional Services. In addition, he previously held positions as VP and GM, Chief Technology Officer, and Director of Professional Services at CXtec. Duffy has more than 30 years of sales and sales management experience. His industry experience includes various roles for the Cisco Advisory Council, Ingram Micro, and Trust X Alliance.

Duffy is very active in the Central New York community, serving as a board member for the Syracuse Teacher Center and First Tee Syracuse. He previously served as a board member for Leadership Greater Syracuse. Duffy is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse and was a 2015 recipient of the LGS Alumni Achievement Award. In 2007 he was a recipient of Central New York Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” Award for his business accomplishments and community involvement.

Vice President of Human Resources

Tawney Crystal

Tawney Crystal is the Vice President of Human Resources for TERACAI and CXtec, where she is responsible for leading and directing the overall management of human resources services, policies and programs to support the long-term goals of both companies.

Crystal has more than 14 years of experience in human resources and is skilled in the areas of benefits and compensation, employee relations, organizational development, performance management and recruitment. She has been with TERACAI and CXtec for 12 years and has previously served in the roles of human resources specialist and manager. Crystal also has human resources experience in the manufacturing industry.

Crystal earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification in 2001. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Potsdam.
